Portland needs a mayor who can listen, engage, innovate, and lead.
I'm running for mayor because I love this city and I love this work, and because we are at an important juncture here in Portland.
In November, we'll choose a mayor to lead our city through a period of tremendous growth and change. That mayor must be a proven leader who is collaborative, hard-working, innovative, and practical and can be counted on every day to help move Portland forward.
I'm proud of the work I've done on the City Council, but to date, that work has been part-time. I'm ready to go to work for Portland full-time.
The role of elected mayor hasn't yet reached its full potential, and we need someone who can make the mayor position work for Portland.
We need a leader who will ensure that the values Portlanders have identified as key to the city's success are incorporated into all of the decisions we make. That way we can continue to grow and change in positive ways while protecting and preserving the assets that make Portland unique:
Let's work together to make Portland the city we all know it can be - one that is sustainable, dynamic, secure, authentic, connected, and equitable for all.
Portland deserves a working mayor.
